There's a reason it was on sale

I'm using the exact same brand and bulb for my tegu tub with an oversized 250 watt brood lamp. My previous lightbulb lasted about 5 months before it burned out and had to be replaced. Thought a 2 for 1 deal would be good so I have a spare bulb on hand. Within 2 weeks the 1st bulb burned out quite spectacularly and I was lucky that it didn't break. The only reason this isn't a 1 star rating is that I'm using the 2nd bulb and am hoping the 1st bulb failure was just bad luck.
