Stringing problems? Try pre-heating

I've been messing around with this filament, fighting the very common stringing issues. I found the following settings really helped: 185 degrees C (Celcius) hot end, 50 degrees C table. 0.20 layer, coasting ON (cura setting), 10mm retraction at 50mm/s. But even with these fine-tuned settings, it was stringing horribly the other day.That's when I realized that the wood fibers are probably absorbing the humidity from the recent record rainfall (Seattle area), and I put the filament in the dehydrator for 6 hrs at 114 degrees F (note: Fahrenheit!). It was magical - almost completely cured the stringing. Sooooo. I STRONGLY recommend drying out your Wood PLA before each use. In fact, if you are set up to spool directly from the dehydrator, that's ideal.Normally, PLA doesn't seem to need much (if any) drying before use, but the wood fibers really changes the game. This stuff really needs to be dry.This is really great filament. Hatchbox is a name you can trust. The price is reasonable as well.Edit: I'm almost done with my first spool of this wood filament, and wanted to mention that my print quality has degraded significantly over time. The reason: the wood fiber is abrasive and has eaten my cheapo brass nozzles. So if you are going to buy this filament, you'll probably want to go with better nozzles. .or change cheap nozzles very frequently.
