The hose pulls out and retracts really nice when it is installed on a wall. I noticed if you install the hose reel hanging from the ceiling it does not pull out very smooth. Came with mounting hardware for wood or cement installation, 1 NTP female coupler, 1 male plug, and Teflon tape. This was really helpful, however, the NTP male plug is useless on the supply side of the hose. They really should include a female plug. Overall, I am happy with the hose reel.

We have several Reelworks hose and cord reels in the shop and they have never let us down. Well built and durable, they have proven to be reliable under commercial conditions. This 3/8" air hose reel is no different. It has a robust return spring that retracts the hose into the housing fast and even. The lock holds the hose fast at the required length. The mounting bracket s stout and allows the housing to pivot on the wall. And it looks great as well.

There seem to be two main designs on revain that manufacturers keep popping out there own versions of. This one with the enclosed case is nice for keeping debris out and incorporates the winding assist to evenly wind the hose. These mechanisms do always seem a bit fragile to me but have yet to see one break. The trade-off is it's quite a bit more thick than the kind without the case. Really comes down to personal taste as most of the time space isn't at THAT much of a premium. It's a good reel…

Works great so far but I'm a little concerned based on the other reviews in regards to the plastic hose guide but what can you do. The hose is good quality and the mechanism is working fine. Time will tell, but for now, 5 stars.

Look carefully at the picture, this shipped with everything to install and connect to my air compressor. Imagine my dismay when I realized they shipped a male quick connect with male threads, but the input hose to the reel also has male threads. They should ship both quick connects with female threads. Not a major setback, but someone sure dropped the ball.

I do a lot of DIY woodworking and needed a new air hose reel after my old one finally stopped retracting. The hose operates in a smooth manner both pulling it out and when you return it to the reel. The hose locks into place easily and also releases just as easy. This is a perfect reel for any home DIYer.

I like that i can mount it higher and out of the way. The reel has good resistance and locks in place easily. It retracts with good force but not to much to whip the hose.

Time will tell if this holds up well. Easily mounted. Retracts nicely. This is in a home garage not a commercial environment.

This is a big reel, and it works great. You mount this, pull the cord you need, and it easily retracts. They also make an exlectrical extension cord model, which is also excellent.

Awesome air hose reel. I have a metal "open" reel and I like this unit so much better. It's so much lighter, SO much, looks so nice and compact. Just hang is on the wall and done. Works exactly as it should, pull it out and it flows smoothly. Quick jerk and it retracts. I bought this to put in my shot so that I would not have to keep getting out hoses to run air to different pieces of equipment. So, when this became available, I ordered it. Here is what I found:1. The feed hose for this is pretty short. Even with mounting this above my compressor, it was a real stretch to get it to connect. I bought this to mount outside on the front of my garage - so the kids can fill bike tires and whatnot. It looks good and functions well, but the sun hasn't been kind to the plastic housing. And to be honest I wasn't expecting it to last forever in this regard, but I didn't expect the cover to start coming apart in a year. So in general, if you're going to mount it inside, I'd say it's a good product. But not for outdoor use.

A couple weeks ago I installed a ReelWorks extension cord reel and was so impressed that I had to get the air hose reel, too. Setup is easy - put in a couple 1/2" x 3" lag bolts almost all the way into the stud behind the drywall and slip the reel mount over the screws and tighten. This hose reel is pretty decent quality. The outer enclosure is plastic but feels durable.The hose is decent quality as well. However I feel like it will not survive the hot and humid conditions or if you have it outside. I have this hose reel installed inside my warehouse. My Warehouse is fully air-conditioned so I do not see a problem with it. Great operating hose reel the reason for four stars and not five. the air leaks out after sitting awhile and it didn’t with my manual reel. A trade I’m willing to make though.
