The part fits my 2002 Chevrolet Suburban Z71 (Flexible Fuel) and the electrical connections are correct, however the pump is incorrectly connected so the pump is not working as is. This left me with two options: 1) return the pump as non-working and try to get a working one, or 2) try to troubleshoot the new pump to determine exactly what the problem is. I decided that option 2 had the best chance of success in the shortest amount of time. I determined that the fuel pump and tank sensor wires…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons

Wrong connector matches fuel system

Revain says the product fits my 2003 Chevy Suburban. Drained and dropped the tank and fitted a new pump only to see that it had a flat port while the original had a square port. My Suburban has a Z in the 8th digit of the VIN. Nothing that I know of identifies it as flex fuel or with an upgraded option. Now I'm looking for an adapter or a new plug to connect. It takes some pretty nasty work (dropping a full tank to get to the fuel pump) and became a challenge. I would like to return this item…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Works as advertised, solved my problem and saved me $800.

I ordered this for my 2002 Avalanche after it broke down on the freeway and would not start. I was concerned there was a different model listed for my truck, but I settled on this one. The dealer asked $1,100 for this work, while PepBoys asked $850 for an aftermarket pump. For a 160,000 mile truck, I agreed it needed a fuel pump, but I wouldn't pay that much money at Christmas to fix it. already changed once (to an Airtex brand pump). I had a moment installing a new pump in the tank and it…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Trouble finding the right port!

I have a 2003 Suburban with the Z option - Flex Fuel. The original pump/level sensor harness had 4 pins in a square configuration while this pump has 4 pins per wire so I had to find the right connector. (The 3-pin connector is for the pressure sensor and is fine). Note that this fuel pump can be connected to fittings that do not have the correct pressure gauge for every service. If you look at the connector on this pump, the left pin is connected to the fuel pump black (-) wire and the right…

  • Nice package
