Requires Nerf Infinus LiPo

Bought this board to power a 2S LiPo battery in a Nerf Infinus blaster. The blaster runs on 4 D-cell batteries, so it needs to run at around 6V, and this board is perfect for the task thanks to its accurate performance and small form factor. In addition to the typical flywheel layout, this blaster features an auto-load function consisting of multiple motors and an IR sensor. This is all controlled by a large brain circuit that according to YouTube releases all the magic smoke at around 7V. So…

Need better "specs " on this.

First of all, it's almost impossible to find any application specifications. Luckily, they're cheap enough to give a try. For those wondering, here are a few details: 1) The delta output voltage supply should be around 1.5V overhead. 2) The outputs don't seem to work open circuit with regulated voltage. You need a minimum draw of about 10mA to get good voltage regulation. Without them you can easily ramp up to your input voltage uncontrollably. 3) You can't go below 1.4V on the output. Even up…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Good product great price

Item received within 1 day. I haven't had a chance to install it yet, but here are my first impressions. They didn't come with stands as pictured. Radiators only. Because of the price it's ok and I won't be using racks. The holes for their connection are not suitable for 18AWG stranded wire. They fit solid 18AWG wire, but that makes the build stiff and I don't want to put too much stress on the PCB. I could use 20 AWG stranded wire, which would work, but I like the protective tape I get with 18

Excellent quality, easy to set up, voltage drifts a bit as load increases.

I'm building an Arduino based lithium battery charger, mostly for fun and education, but also to recycle old laptop batteries into solar energy storage. I'm using these buck converters to step down 12V to 5V to power TP4056 charge controller boards that charge 18650 batteries. Each of the "battery modules" in the picture supports 4 batteries and can draw up to 20W. So if I put one of these buck converters on each module, I can split the power at 12V instead of 5V, greatly reducing current flow,

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

These little buck converters are great. To update.

4 received. 4 worked fine. Connected to a 19.8 volt source (in this case the E6440 laptop power supply). The idea is to run a pair of external hard drives with a tap from the PS box, eliminating the need to connect 2 wall warts and their associated cables. Load 50W ohms. The output deviation was about 100mV when connected, but returned to 12.07 within about 500ms and stayed at that level throughout the 3 minute test. I could have held out longer, but the load resistors got pretty hot. As…

They work! - Power Accessory

I received them today. Considering that the seller offers refunds for all non-working devices, I immediately checked them all to see if they were DOA. There was nobody! I will update if any of them fail. In general, these are pretty good devices based on the XLSEMI XL4015 chip. The circuit seems pretty straight forward from the datasheet application notes, except that the output capacitor is 220uF instead of 330uF as suggested in the datasheet. All boards appear clean, undamaged and well…

Seems to be good value for money, definitely cheaper and smaller than I could make myself. My use is as a DC filament voltage regulator in a tube audio amplifier. Each was in a sealed gray ESD smoke bag, then these 4 were in a larger gray ESD smoke bag (also sealed). This large outer box was wrapped in several layers of 1/4" bubble wrap and then placed in a bubble envelope (which fit in my cluster mailbox along with lots of junk mail). Hence 5 stars for the packaging. All 4 shortly after…
