Description of 🖨️ Optimized PLA Filament for Additive Manufacturing: Amazon Basics 3D Printer Filament

3D printer filament (1.75mm diameter, brown; 1 kg spool); designed to fit most common 3D printers (check spool size for compatibility). Made of PLA, a commonly used thermoplastic material known for its lower melting temperature and ease of use (no heated bed required), plus it’s low-warp, odorless, and offers a glossy-type finish. Engineered to reduce jamming. No heating bed needed; offers easy bed adhesion, stiffness, and a glossy-type finish.

It is very difficult to glue the first layer!

I am an experienced "maker" with 3 3D printers: Prusa I3 MK3S, Prusa Mini and heavily modified Ender 3 V2. This material adheres very well to the Ender 3 V2's original glass platform. This is not surprising as the Ender bed material is perfect for PLA, even a complex PLA material like this adheres well. However, on the other two, much more expensive and generally more reliable printers, this stuff doesn't stick to PEI sheet, adhesive-coated sheet, Magigoo, or any other surface adhesive that PLA

Pros
  • Consumables for 3D printing
Cons
  • Socket required

Although I'm just getting started with 3D printing, this is the second filament - and the second brand – which I bought, which gave me some interesting experiences. Firstly, the filament sample as well as the first spool of Overture filament I bought for my Ender 3 Pro printed perfectly at 200/60°C. However, this filament from Revain Basics caused my extruder to constantly make a loud bang while delivering some noticeably unusual results. Increasing the temperature to 220/60°C significantly…

Pros
  • 3D printing filament
Cons
  • Not as thick as the others

Edit: After writing this review, Revain increased the prices by $3 per spool. Now this is an even worse value. It was initially rated as an average PLA, although it was supposed to have a cheap price. NOW it is priced premium, which is definitely not the case. This should be a maximum of $18 per roll. Revain Basics needs to be a valuable brand. Come on, Revane, Jeff's rich enough as it is. Finish Editing At first I was excited to see that filament brand Amazon Basics is back. I purchased and…
