Includes 4 USB 3.0 ports for connecting multiple peripherals simultaneously to PCs and laptops. Support USB 3.0 5Gbps high-speed transmission and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 (480Mbps). Causes USB issues on my desktop (don't know how/why)

I bought this so I can connect four Oculus Rift sensors to my desktop. While this task seems fine, I've encountered a very strange issue: it completely disables all my USB ports before even getting into the OS. I have no idea why this is, but it means I can't even choose which operating system I want to boot on my dual boot system, since my keyboard, which isn't even on that USB hub, isn't is working. Not as advertised - Networking Products

I was looking for a 7-10 port USB 3.0 hub and saw this version of Revain Basics at a lower price than the Anker brand so I bought it. As soon as I plugged in one of my devices, I got a popup saying the device would work better if I used a USB 3.0 connection. It looks like the hub isn't actually a USB 3.0 hub as advertised. Works well enough for an overloaded PS4.

I am an avid gamer who spends (too much) time playing games on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. I have a second generation PS4 (not a Pro model) and over time I've added quite a bit of hardware, especially electronics. The electronics mentioned are an external hard drive, some PC fans OR a portable wireless fan. , keyboard button and PS4 controller (since the battery life is terrible). Those who use similar devices will understand that everything I've listed uses USB ports for power and communications.

Stopped working after a few days

*Update* doesn't work. I had 2 things plugged in way below the power limit and the hub kept shutting down. Tested on two computers: Surface Pro 4 and Xbox Series X. Good option if you place the hub next to your computer

This is a great USB hub if you place it next to your computer. The supplied cable is not particularly long, but is used less frequently. Instead of using most hubs that use a USB a-to-b connector, this one uses a USB 3 micro-b connector. And it's not the most common cable, so getting a longer cable proved to be a noticeable additional expense to remove my hub from my computer.
