Mixed package of emotions.

I have mixed feelings about this processor. I did some research (laughs). The processor is about 7%-12% faster than the fx 8350 and only a few Mambo can run it (I have one of those). It uses a little more power and runs a little hotter. for $99. I made the jump. Having received it before installing it, I decided to read people's opinions about it, which immediately caused buyers to repent. People have said it's incredibly power hungry compared to the CPU power, AMD actually recommends a 1000w…

Great for winter games

First of all, yes I bought one in 2018; Yes, I know there are better options. I had to buy a new motherboard and processor, but I already had 16GB of DDR3 memory and didn't want to buy new RAM. So I decided on it and ASRock 970A-G/3.1. This processor can certainly hold its own in today's games. Other reviewers have mentioned that it gets very hot or that it's on par with a fusion reactor in terms of its heat output. You are not wrong. It absolutely needs a water cooler - I have a MasterLiquid…

Is it really so bad?

Against all advice, since I have msi 990fxa-gd80 with fx8150 and Gigabyte GA-990fxa-ud7 with 5350, both compatible motherboards, I would consider trying to upgrade at least one of these processors. So I ran some tests and found that my 8350 is clocked at 4.3GHz and my 9590 is clocked at 3.9GHz. not overclocked, but water-cooled on a gigabyte board. that's true, but it's knocking 5150 out of the water, so here's the thing. I wish I could just get another 8K series for the price, but it runs…

Cons
  • Compatibility

I'm a bit of an idiot. I bought it in 2016 when the price was now $250 instead of $150. If you've ever heard of the silicon lottery, I didn't win. I hooked it up to the wrong motherboard at first (since the motherboard can't power this monster) and then, after switching to a much more reliable motherboard, I couldn't get my CPU to overclock the slightest bit. . It even has serious problems when overclocking to 5.0 GHz, which it should be able to do without further ado. I had to lock it at the…

Has its disadvantages. in Internal Components

The FX 9590 is just an overclocked FX 8350 (for comparison, not literally). This means it's a terrible processor to overclock since it's already overclocked. This series of processors was also known as the "Oven" to the general public and the overclocking community. Thanks to diamond thermal paste, an open housing, a closed water system and extremely powerful Corsair fans, the temperatures are still around 46-50 degrees during normal use (e.g. when watching YouTube videos). During gaming…

High performance for the price

This is the best CPU I have ever used. It's fast and inexpensive. Specifications require liquid cooling. I have Enermax LIQMAX II 120S. It is installed as in the picture, one fan sucks in the air and the other pushes it out. Despite this, the processor warmed up almost to the maximum. I am using this processor with an ASUS AM3+ M.2 USB3.1 SafeSlot AMD ATX motherboard (TUF Sabertooth 990FX R3.0) and two sets of G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-pin SDRAM DDR3 1866 ( PC3 14900) Desktop…

Highly Recommended - CPU Processors

Somewhat mixed review but it's my fault I bought this CPU with a new MOBO thinking they would work as they are compatible but what I did not understand, is the performance of this processor is actually so high that some MOBOs simply do not work with it. I bought an MSI 970 Gaming MOBO and when I used this processor with it it said it wouldn't work due to performance. I tried it on my old MOBO (it still worked, only got damaged and had occasional power cuts) and it ran incredibly smooth. I'm not

Monster CPU suitable for computers and accessories

This processor kills. Too bad I didn't buy it when it was outdated. When I bought this processor, it was already 2 years old and inferior in performance to most of the 4th, 5th and 6th generation i7s. So why did I choose this particular processor and not one of them? 1. It's cheaper. At the time of purchase, I paid about $250, which is a lot better than prices for a similar i72. Speed. This thing is lightning fast! 4.7GHz Stock! and was supposed to boost to 5.0GHz, I couldn't get that part to…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Other Other

I bought the FX-9590 as an upgrade to an FX-8150 that I have been using for several years. I bought this CPU along with the Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler to keep it cool and I'm happy with it so far. With a cooler, it seems to take care of the heat that this processor can generate and this is noticeable when playing graphics-intensive games. One thing I noticed right away was some freezes and freezes, but after disabling the 5.0GHz Turbo Boost in the BIOS I
