This pump is AWESOME. It's so quiet

This pump is GREAT. It's sooooo quiet! I like the smaller design and the fact that the pump itself has a sponge to protect the internal motor (especially since I sometimes use sand in my heavily stocked tank). I have good maintenance habits for my nano (6 gallon with a tray) aquarium so clogging is not a problem. The water is filtered through many layers of sponges, filter threads and various bacterial media. I have tried many other pumps and this one is compact and very quiet! I HATE filter…

Didn't last more than 6 months

I don't know why it's so hard to find a reliable pump. This is the second pump I have (the previous one was from a different manufacturer) and it only lasted 6 months. The only problem I had initially was that the suction cups couldn't hold it securely in my tank. After about 4 months the problem was that you had to keep restarting it to actually get it working. You would turn it on, you would hear it turn on, and yet it wouldn't move the water. Now 6 months later it doesn't move the water…

It makes a little noise, but shaking, you can stop. Flow is pretty strong at max settings in a 10 gallon tank. He's pretty small. Some of the fittings are junk and don't match up (the one for venturi bladders or whatever or the air line looks like a tee that's too loose to be useful). If you are looking for a replacement for an aquarium that already has one of these - like my aquarium which has three chambers in the back for bio and mechanical filtration) this will work. My existing outlet tube

Great little pump for aquarium pumps and filters

Great little pump with plenty of power for its size. I bought to replace the air pump that came with my "HB-210: Finnex External HOB Refugium / Breeder Box + Air Pump" and it worked great. I have this pump in the dugout and I have to turn it down a bit as if I turn it on full it tends to seep over the rim and into the tank on the side instead of the correct outlet but it is like I have about 10 pounds of living sand and boulders, and each chamber is full of macroalgae. I feel like it has become

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Empty

So far, so good. It replaces another branded pump with a slightly lower GPH that I've spoken positively about recently, but later broke. The reason I bought this one is because I could accidentally rip the rubber feet off the first one with little effort. I use this type of pump as a circulation pump in my homemade sous vide cooker and prefer to remove the pump from the cooking chamber when I empty it. It turns out the little rubber suction feet on these pumps are more grippy than durable. If…
