Very easy to install. It's fairly easy to set up, after a little practice you'll know what to do to change resistance quickly. The stand never feels wobbly or anything, it's a very solid design and construction. Folding it up for storage is also very convenient as I don't have a lot of space. I bought this to cycle indoors in the winter, it has worked well for both my mountain bike and my wife's hybrid. Definitely recommend. It works great in combination with the CycleOps Climbing Riser Block…

Great shoes love them

I just bought these shoes because I can't ride outside in the cold at this time of year. I was skeptical at first as it was so cheap but the reviews were great so I decided to give it a try. I liked that it came fully assembled and didn't take me more than 5 minutes to install my bike on it. As others have said, with a knobby mountain bike tire, it's very noisy. As I lived in an apartment I only used it twice because of the noise. But that problem was solved by buying a slick street tire, the…

Bell Motivator Exercise Bike

This product works great but needs some adjustments to work properly. If you are using a bike with "knobby" tires you can wear ear plugs or buy a slick for the rear wheel. I have a mountain bike and just got a "hybrid" tire that works great and keeps the noise down. Some complained that the locknuts (made of plastic) broke when tightened. Solution: Tighten with no tool other than hand and then tighten an additional 1/8 turn. They do not break and lock the retaining screws. To vary the…

75 decibels at 3 feet - loud as a garbage chute

This trainer didn't fit in my living space. I bought it based on the price and other reviews. I've had three coaches over the years. This is the lowest rating of all. The roll holder consists of two plastic parts. The pressure on the tire roll causes the two-piece plastic holder to bend. a horizontal metal drive rod is then conically pressed into vertical roller bearings pressed into a plastic support. This unnatural pressure destroyed the factory bearings after a week. At one point it was so…

Excellent but, as mentioned, noisy.

I received my exercise bike Bell Motivator Mag last week and have used it a few times. Aside from some initial difficulties swapping my axle for the one supplied (to protect my own, which also fits) and then balancing the bike to line it up with the center of the idle adjustment knob, assembly of the bike wasn't all that difficult. A second person would help stabilize the bike. The bike sits very securely in the frame, doesn't wobble or move while riding. I don't have a stretcher and don't feel

What I wanted: Cycling

This machine is great. I have a basic trekking mountain bike with big tires and it's perfect for a trainer. I was ready to buy a real rod but decided to give it a try instead, mainly because of the space in my studio. I love spinning and have had trouble justifying two bikes in my small apartment. I'm going through a few points made by other posters: Noise Factor: Yes, loud, but not THAT bad. I used to have a treadmill and it was noisy too. If I'm shooting at odd times, I use the IPOD…

Light, light, sometimes you may need to adjust something

Excellent for such a price. I wish I had bought one a year ago to ride my bike in the winter instead of the exercise bike that used to dominate our tiny den. In fact, it's easy enough for me to haul my bike 30 feet back and forth to the living room 3 mornings a week. A word of caution: I think because I move a lot, my bike jumped off the posts mid-ride one morning. I would suggest checking the fit from time to time if you move (or don't move) the bike at all. Advantages: * Inexpensive. *…
