Love everything about this toaster but NOT the temperature! I've only used it 4-5 times in the past few months and just a few days ago I realized the temperature just wasn't working properly. I had two pieces of mackerel, after 35 minutes at 400°C it was still undercooked so I added another 15 minutes at 450°C and it started to brown on the surface. 50 minutes for two pieces of 120-130g mackerel? Not impressed at all with this product.

I have had my eye on this toaster for a long time. I finally bought it over a week ago and came to this review. I am very happy with the oven. It's big and beautiful as you can see in the picture and bakes very well. I posted two photos of the cake I made to see the results. My only comment would be that a small portion wasn't fully baked, but I put it back in for a few minutes and it was perfect. I already know that I will be baking and roasting a lot in this oven. I bought this refurbished non Revain one with a 2 year warranty and I love the large extra wide size. I've read others criticizing it for having "old school" analog controls. But guess what, my old one had digital displays and controls, but you had to keep pressing the buttons to finally reach your desired temperature and the length of time it stayed on. The convection function is HUGE. A big thank you to Black and Decker for providing 12 inch pizza size toasters under $70. Convection ovens make countertop ovens bearable - we use ours instead of a built-in under-deck oven to save energy. Heat. Without the convection function, cooking takes much longer and the plate is more likely to scorch due to the quartz jet heating elements. Normally we can last a maximum of 2 years as one of these. This is our fault, we drop drips on the lower quartz rods.
