Totally waterproof. I took this to the water park and by the end of the day my phone and cards in it were completely dry. I tested it in a tub with paper inside before doing it for real and it's extremely waterproof. A word of caution though. If you are outside in the heat I recommend removing your phone from the case before placing it in the case and checking it from time to time.
