Very good but needed improvement

I bought Camco 45401 Vinyl Windshield Guard (Black) for my Jeep Wrangler. I love the product but I have a suggestion. I noticed in the product review that a lot of people had problems because the adjustment straps around the back that go into the car are useless. Moving the latches from strap to strap and moving the end of the clasp a little makes them very comfortable. I cut the stitching on the snaps and switched to the opposite strap and everything is fine now. It's like someone designed it…

It's ok BUT best in Exterior Accessories

Looks ok but doesn't work on Ford Edge. It cannot be made to work at this point due to the distance from the bottom of the outer windshield to the inside of the car door. You can't get the vinyl far enough for the door to close and hold. There are two thick elastic cords, one high and one low, that tighten the lid. The doors must close over the vinyl and the grommets must be visible to allow the bungee cord to be tightened. That can't happen with my car. I sent it back. Also ask how long the…

Keeps rocks at bay but causes WATER LEAKAGE WHEN DRIVING OR PARKING!

We bought two of these windshield covers for a summer trip to Alaska. One for our Honda Pilot and one for our friends Jeep Liberty. hard after doing it 4 or 5 times. it's a little easier with two people. Directions are almost non-existent. And they protect the windshield well. Towing cars in the rain! And they BOTH leaked in the rain when we parked or pulled up behind our RVs. The installation in the Honda Pilot went a little less than in the Jeep. floorboards and seats. They do a good job of…

Better than expected for Sprinter

I bought this product again after using it for 6 years. Knowing that he has a number of serious flaws. The product in the box did not match the photo or description provided by Revain online. To my surprise, clearly marked Camco 45401 on the material and packaging, the product exceeded my expectations. .Camco may have read previous reviews and improved this windshield cover. Top and bottom 1/2" wide black woven straps replaced loose cords. Gone are the metal bushings that scratched my towed…

Very good value for money

We tow an old Jeep Cherokee off the back of a 36 foot Class A car, sometimes driving on gravel roads or stopping at gravel roadsides. After a long drive from Alberta to the Northwest Territories, we noticed gravel on the hood and a windshield that started digging, even though both fenders were on the tires and a reinforced rubber protector was pulled over the back of the van. Since we don't particularly care about painting the jeep and we could protect the headlights with wire mesh, this was a…
