This product is fine. It gets the job done, but I wish it was a little more reliable when mixing. Some cards get stuck or don't separate well enough to shuffle well. I'm on my second. Unfortunately, there aren't many other options on the market right now unless you're willing to pay hundreds of dollars for a casino quality shuffler, and since I use it for casual card play I don't see the point in spending a lot of money issue a different style.

I read the reviews before buying and noticed that some people complained about the freezing and short battery life. Mine worked great. I've only used it three times so far, but it worked well. We play between 2-3 rounds that require 6 decks each day. We have returned 2 professional and very expensive shufflers in the last 60 days. We also ordered 2 other cordless stirrers which we had to send back. This shuffler was ordered on Saturday and delivered on Monday. This is the best shuffler we've tried in years. Easy to use and has held up so far. My only issue is that there were supposed to be small clips on the side of the mixer to hold the clear plastic "catcher" in place and there weren't any. I have to "hold" the card reader with one hand so that the cards don't fly out. But you shouldn't have sent it back for someone else. Fire needs to know that there are two very small posts on top of the shuffler that hold the card holder in the card holders that hold the cards after they have been shuffled.
