Great float tube is the best for hunting and fishing

I have never owned a float tube. My dad had a round old one that he always used, but I've never had one until now. I did a lot of research and read reviews. This particular float tube is great value for the money. Plenty of pockets to stash gear. I've read reviews about the float chamber with poor back support that a few people have mentioned. yes, you have to adjust the front seat belt for the back seat. it got a little uncomfortable after a while. So I went to a pool supply store and bought…

No balancing properties

My brother and I have been fishing small trout lakes with the original float chamber with hose for 30 years. We both switched to this tube with the same opinion after just one use. We reuse our 30 year old float tanks and throw them in the bin because I doubt they can be returned after use and abuse. I usually try to fix things I don't like, but nothing short of a complete overhaul can fix this pipe design. The seat is too high, which makes paddling in any wind very inefficient and even…

Many design flaws when fishing

This float is not worth the money. I've been using my old float tube, which is a tube, for 30 years and thought I'd switch to this one and sell it on Ebay in a while. I'll mention the issues I've had with it so the buyer knows what he or she is actually getting. It has 3 major design flaws that I can see. First, the seat isn't deep enough in the water, so kicking the fins becomes a real problem. Your feet want to be on the surface. This results in more splashes and less forward movement. The…

Would buy again.

Lots of storage space. This piece has 10 pockets. Seems pretty stable after a few rides. The mesh area at the back is a decent living well, also fit for a backpack but strap it on if you want to keep it. It would be five stars, except for the following: 1. The rod holders advertised are actually nothing more than straps that hold the rod in the water when maneuvering. I assumed it was something you could tuck the base of the rod into and it would sit upright so you could troll hands free while…

As functional as the Cumberland, especially as a snorkel float

The other reviews here are great so I'll compare Cumberland and Togiak for you. I bought that and Cumberland. Both have "backpack" straps for short trips (unpadded). Both are spacious! It is slightly smaller and folds into a smaller bag (not included), lighter and has more smaller pockets. Both don't have rod holders, but Cumberland has two cup holders and this one doesn't have one. The Cumberland has a large storage pocket on the back of the seat, but this one doesn't. The valves are different

Was very disappointed with it

Was very happy to get this float tube, had eyeballs for a long time. Was very disappointed in him. I read the reviews and thought people might be too picky to know I agree with most. Fill valves are terrible at best. When I checked them I thought it was the same valves as my inflatable kayak which work fine and the kayak pump has an adapter which works fine. To my surprise, the float tube inflation valves look the same as the kayak valves, but they are a different size and the pump adapter…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Very expensive

So I thought about buying this tube because I needed something that would allow me to sit higher in the water than my submarine I've had for a long time (which served serves its purpose but has since been replaced by Togiak). First let me say this is a BIG PIPE! Tried it out at a local lake today and caught some bass and 11 inch crappie. I felt very well. I had to move against a very strong wind, and I was moving much faster than I expected. how comfortable I was all along. So this tube uses 2…
