These are pretty strong hoses, I suspect people insert them incorrectly and pinch the hoses at some point during installation hence the negative reviews. This is my comparison of Continental Race 28 (42mm) and Michelin Airstop A1 (52mm) in size 18-25. Not the lightest, but not the heaviest on the market either.
