Great church management software: CrossReference

The best thing about crossreference is that it can be used for any church or organization. It's great to have one place to keep track of people, their contact information, and their involvement with the church. There are some features I would like to see added such as a calendar and a way to send email invitations to events. If you're looking for an easy way to keep track of your church members, this program will do the trick. A lot of churches use cross reference to keep track of their…

  • Great customer service team!
  • Good variety in reports available (you don't get everything at first install)
  • Lots more options than other programs out there

Cross Reference Program is good resource once connections aren

It's pretty cool that you can upload photos of people to search for them later, when there might be no contact information available! You have options over which database system (eMergent) it pulls from as well - I would definitely like more databases added!! Other than being able to pull pictures off Facebook or LinkedIn profiles we've never had enough info about someone before searching through this program so far; however some are easier then others because they contain names instead of just

Pros
  • Also has photo option attached onto employee records allowing access and quick identification using face recognition software programs online now also.
Cons
  • All fine

Excellent tool in helping with genealogy research

I like that it's easy to use, very detailed information about each individual, can search by names or email addresses; you don't need any special software for this purpose. The interface could be improved so there are fewer problems scrolling through emails etc. There isn’t much of anything bad i dislike but would probably enjoy seeing more options when sorting people into groups (e.g., age). My husband has used crossreference before he left his pastoring position and now we help him manage…

Pros
  • No issues at work ever using these files because

Great way keep organized with your volunteer information

I love that it gives me access to everything from my database so easily while working remotely! The reports are great for monthly tracking, etc., as well as creating new ones when needed! Sometimes we need help figuring things out but they have support if you've ever run into any issues before getting back to us! We're trying to make our paperwork easier to use/read through while keeping track of finances more efficiently without having several spreadsheets or accounts within one place. I like…

Pros
  • I like the ability to send emails to all our volunteers and keep track of the status of volunteers
Cons
  • I like the ability to send out newsletters to our clients, I do not like

A little too much hassle but great value

We used CrossReference for our non-profit to send out emails and newsletters to our constituents. This feature made it easy to send mass emails without writing them by hand, and easy to see statistics on who opened the emails. I didn't like the interface, and didn't like that I couldn't set up a folder system for our emails. The program was very expensive, and I didn't think it gave us the full benefit that we needed. If we had to use it again, I would look for another program that offered…

Pros
  • You can also easily manage multiple lists at once which makes sending bulk mailings much easier than using Gmail alone
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok
