Base broken after transporting 5 times a 50 lbs payload. I did fix it, but broke again a few days later. Definitely not able to support almost 500 lbs as advertised.

Used this cargo basket while driving from Florida to Arizona. Needs two people to attach to your hitch. It held one large suitcase, one small suitcase and a med sized overnight duffle-type bag. I put everything in hefty bags to keep road dirt/ rain off my suitcases and secured everything down with bungee cords. Didn’t have any problem with it at all.

We bought this to add to the space in my small SUV when moving my daughter to college. It worked like a charm. We still had more room in the additional waterproof bag that purchased when we had packed everything. Excellent purchase.

Easy to assemble. Just don't tighten down the bolts until they are all in place. Fits great on my Infinit QX56. Able to open the tailgate even with two 45qt coolers strapped on.

Got this for a road trip we are planning. Using it with a Jeep Cherokee and needed some extra space to pack various items. I did a lot of research on line and while there are cheaper cargo carriers to be had I wanted something securely built. I liked the wide metal plates used to form the sides of the basket as these will provide better strength against torquing than smaller plates I see used on cheaper baskets. Works well. I worry about it long term as there are a few spots that were not coded with whatever black coating that they used, although I could probably find some sort of spray for it. Part of the bottom metal weave stuff also came bent and not connected in a section. I am sure it will be fine, and we plan to keep it in our garage when not in use. It says it holds 500 lbs. I put about 250 on it and the carrier bent down. I tried driving with it bent down anyways and any time there was a bump or the road was unleveled the carrier would hit the ground. Unfortunately I had to ditch it mid trip. I would recommend getting a carrier with a up slanted bar to help with this issue.

Great product, very well made! We just went cross country in a Nissan Pathfinder and this held the extra gear. Very rugged construction, easy to assemble and operate.

We bought this to put on the back of our camping trailer for additional space. It's very sturdy, but when you attach it to the hitch it moves too much. We are going to use straps to secure it to the back of the trailer to make it more secure.

Super sturdy. Might wiggle a little but I promise you, everyone does when it's empty.Little pushing and pulling to line up the holes but no need for drilling or grinding like others state. Simply put it all together before tightening bolts down, problem solved.

The rack is solid and is easy to put together. I had to go to the hardware store twice since they forgot all the washers and then I realized they included carriage bolts for round holes so I had to buy three hex head bolts and nuts.

I use the carrier for extra storage on my RV. Note that it cannot be used in the fold up position on a class C as the tongue is too short. However, it is very sturdy and worked well for my needs. You do have to wrestle it to get into its locked position.

Easy to set up, easy to install. It takes 10 seconds to fold up when not in use. The pin used for folding up requires a little jiggling to get out, however to me that just means that it is a tight and more secure fit. Seems to be of good construction.

The frame of this carrier is sturdy with easy assembly. Unfortunately, the wire mesh bottom was severely bent. I needed this for an upcoming trip and don't have time to get a replacement which is the only reason I'm not returning it. The plate where the 4 bolts are supposed to mount into on the back is a half inch too wide for it to line up. Completely wrong plate or defective spacing on the rear welds for the cross support. Can't even put it together until I drill holes and customize the thing.
