I was told I needed this part, which was WRONG.

I was told I needed this part which turned out to be WRONG. 2014 GMC Acadia WITHOUT Factory Tow Package THIS IS NOT NECESSARY, and oh, it still doesn't work properly.

Fits 2013 Enclave - Exterior Accessory

I installed this on a 2013 Buick Enclave and it fits perfectly. A bit of PIA to route the power cord from the power plug to the power cord under the hood, but that's not Kurt's fault. I connected it to the positive terminal under the hood, not the battery. Yes, it matches my Enclave from 2013.

Installing a 2013 Buick Enckave was easier than expected.

To be honest, I was a little afraid that I wouldn't be able to do the installation myself, but my father-in-law and I did it in 3 hours. I suggest checking out YouTube for reference, but I'm so glad I did it myself and saved money during the setup process. I didn't jack the car up and did most of the work myself on the back. Grab some good zip ties (black ones), stop for coffee/meal halfway and check your work with a trailer attached. This item is definitely worth buying if you are ready for…

Works well. Once installed. On a 2014 GMC Acadia (production 6/13) you need to route the battery cable which is located behind the passenger seat in the main cabin. That means you have to drill a hole through the battery box in the floor of the car. It wasn't a big deal and they provided enough cables for you to fish it out from under the car and attach it to the head unit. The reason I gave it to the stars is twofold. The module is too big to fit in the lighting unit. And the wires are too…

GOOD TIP: if you have this and it no longer works, simply cut out the controller box (see image) and connect They all wires together. (A control box is not required. Its purpose is only to prevent your vehicle's electrical system from powering additional headlights from the same circuit, increasing the chance of a blown fuse.) Cut the wires as close to the converter box as possible . as far as possible so you have enough length. The green wire (right taillight) is the shortest. If you do this…
