Don't waste your money. This pin has only been used 5 times on a 6800 lb RV and I noticed it was bent when I was about to change my couplers. Found that the warranty was 1 month expired. But I can honestly say I don't even want to risk it even if they send me a replacement. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY ON BULLETPROOF LOCKING PINS.

Difficult to turn the lock from the start. The first time was more than a month after purchase, so it's too late to return it. It only got worse. I filled it with wd40 and kept the cap on. If I have to remove it, I can't count on it working. I will try another brand. By the way, it's actually a trademark of Metoware. (You can see it in the picture of the key in the ad.

My only issue with this is I wish I could get pairs with the same key but they don't offer it otherwise it's a perfect match. At this size for 3 inch hitches most used on their normally always fold down trailer you will typically need 2-4 if using an extension. Yes, I wish they would offer a key for several together.

The 4 inch length must be the actual thin part going through the receiver. I thought 4 inches was the total length end to end, but that's the length of the part that actually fits in the receiver. It does fit though, and being longer makes it a little easier to get to the lock. In general a good buy. My receiver is standard 2".

, I've towed my #9,000 camper trailer twice, once on each pin, one trip 230 miles the other 75 miles. These pins flexed and deformed without abrupt starts and stops. I'm assuming they will shut down in an emergency braking situation. Pay close attention to the pictures. Revain should stop selling this product in their market. This morning I discovered someone trying to steal my clutch truck. They were able to knock out the lock, but the pin bent so badly that the thieves couldn't pull the pin out and steal the hitch. I'd rather take the time to remove a bent pin and spend $28 on a new pair than buy a new hitch. I definitely recommend this product as it exceeded all expectations.

Everything works great so far BUT I only keep the clutch boot I bought. I haven't towed anything yet. I followed the advice of some other users and oiled the lock. I sprayed the lock area with silicone spray and opened and closed 50 times, so far everything is fine. The pin is very long and I was tempted to buy some shims to make it fit better. I bought a shorter version of this only to find the outside size of the receiver it went through was too thick to fit on. I put it on for a bit after Christmas and laughed to myself that I really hope it never sticks. Well in late February I went to the shoot and struggled to get the key in the cylinder and ended up pulling it out.
