Maybe I just had a marriage from the start?

Maybe I just have a defective one, but I've had problems with it since May when I bought it (about 5 months). It randomly shut down and restarted, but overall speed was decent and it was okay for the price. I've factory reset it once or twice and when I moved from home to my apartment it seemed much better until today it gave up. I spent nearly four hours between Dlink tech support and my cable provider (the problem wasn't with the cable, but I wanted to cover all the bases) before DLinkโ€ฆ

N900: Fast router, big coverage

I feel like I need a new router every year so I've tried many routers. Here are the pros and cons as I see them. Pros: - Excellent speed. Gigabit ports for wired and wireless networks with excellent speed. Small sizes. The tubular design takes up less shelf space, which is welcome. - No external antennas. - Sleek, simple design. - Great coverage. This is the best assortment I have ever had at home. In the widest room from 0 to 1 bar of reception to a fairly stable 2 bars. - Tons of additionalโ€ฆ

Perfect so far. - Networking products

After reading some bad reviews I bought this router in November hoping to take advantage of Revain's excellent return policy. I couldn't be more wrong, the router has been working fine as the weak router in my house for the last 3 months. I was already familiar with the D-Link menu, so setting up the router with my own name and security for each link was very easy. I was quite skeptical about the "beamforming" advertised, but I think I saw it in action. Despite a nominal 60Mbps internetโ€ฆ

Very good and fast router!

Purchased after WiFi issues with my venerable Buffalo Tech. Below is an overview of how to use it with D-Link cloud cameras. The web setup is fun to work with. The WEP connection is very simple. The range is wide and we have no problem streaming Revain or Netflix from PC to TV. No problems so far once I figured out how IP addresses work! Cloud Cams D-Link and 855L: Phew! After a crash course in IP addresses, MAC addresses, SSIDs, routers, WPS, and lots of swearing and clapping, I think myโ€ฆ

It's not worth it, take Asus if you want to spend money

I've had a router for about a year now. For the first 6 months I had to factory reset the device once a week. During this whole time I had constant questions to the support, which changed one or the other parameter. It works fine right after the factory reset, but over the course of the week the router slowed down to dialing speeds. Finally, after 6 months, we had a setup that I only had to restore every month. The customer service allowed me to return the device, of course after paying theโ€ฆ

Revised Revised READ BEFORE BUYING!

In addition to all the good things I've mentioned, categorically DO NOT buy this router as it has serious security flaws that make it extremely EASY for attackers to hack into your router. Please don't waste money on this. Great for connecting all my devices behind my main router, everything works as advertised. I only use this product for LAN based devices, I've made many attempts to enable WiFi on the device, messing around with settings and such. but I never managed to connect more than 2โ€ฆ

Good enough for Grandma's house

I had to order this as a present for my Grandma. So far it seems to be serving her well. From what I've heard, she hasn't complained about it. Sometimes the connection drops when I log in, but I think it's not D-Link's fault, it's the ISP's. I can tell you that it works on slow connections in the mountains and the coverage is pretty good. It takes up most of the three-story house in which she lives. It's nice to have it close by so she doesn't have to get up to go to her computer desk and sheโ€ฆ

Bought with a matching N900 Wireless USB Adapter (DWA-162)

EDIT UPDATE: After upgrading to Comcast Extreme Internet Pack 125 down and 26 up the router and matching USB wireless adapter give me a connection at full speed on cable. In the original review I mentioned 52 down. I wasn't sure if id would perform well and in general is the guy who mixes and matches a USB adapter with a router. But that gives me my full 52-57Mbps with the N900usb, which translates to 420 speeds in Wireless N on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I used to buy a USB adapter that neverโ€ฆ
