Cool knife! Sharp!/ updated, now rusty!

Love, love, love. Will buy a few more. Very sharp! Easy to handle. I will make my set. I wish I knew how to store them.**************************************** * **** **** *Updated. Recieved today. Used today. It was spicy and cut tomatoes with no problem. Went to chop onions and jalapenos and it was so bland. I went back to cut the tomatoes and he didn't even cut through the skin. I had to poke it with a sharp point to make it cut through. I think I'll come back to this pairing at some point…

Good knife, but there was a flaw.

I have some good knives but this is my first bird's beak. I find it very useful and a good addition to my knife selection. However, the knife had a quality issue upon arrival. The edge of the blade was not properly sharpened on one side of the blade on the half facing the point. I considered returning/exchanging the knife but there were issues with delays, postage etc. So I decided to fix it myself (I'm pretty good at these things). Now you can use the knife. If I had to redo I would buy a…

Paring knife fits too well for me

I bought this knife to use as a steak knife because I hate the serrated blade of a traditional steak knife. The knife came in a very nice box. Included were a product brochure, support contact card, official Dalstrong badge and official Dalstrong banner. BANNER DALSTRONG! Okay, it was more of a little rag with the Dalstrong lion logo, but for you and me it's a banner! I felt like I had just been knighted by the Queen of England and this was my official knight's dagger. A wonderful presentation,

nice knife, best in category paring knife

I needed a bird beak knife this is cheap and decent looking. The handle is comfortable, the blade is quite sharp, the sheath is comfortable to the touch so as not to damage the blade. Not much more than I can ask for. However, I'm deducting 2 stars because of the ridiculous amount of packaging and other "things" that come with the knife. There was the knife itself, in a cardboard box with a foam liner, then an information booklet, a cardboard sleeve, a microfiber cloth with a plastic sleeve…

Cons

Good paring knife, excellent presentation

A reliable paring knife, no complaints about design and function. BUT the manufacturer's presentation is beyond over the top for a simple $20 knife. Extra packaging (layered gift box with magnetic closure), promotional brochure and a ridiculous "pin" (?). This is a good $20 knife. Eliminate excessive and unnecessary presentation/packaging and shave a few dollars off the price of your knife. Note that the knife came with fairly extensive longitudinal scratches on the blade, no doubt due to some…

High quality premium knife

This paring knife has been carefully boxed and packaged and is of the highest quality. It can be compared with the 5-star brands Henkel's, Wustoff. The knife itself does an excellent job with the hard skin of fruit, so I bought this particular knife. But you can use it for all kinds of fruit/vegetable cutting with its curved beak. It's sharp, graceful, and the steel and handle are made from beautiful materials of the highest quality with impeccable craftsmanship. It's easy to clean and seems to

They have good functionality and stay sharp

I have been working in commercial kitchens for over 20 years, mainly in 4-5 star restaurants. Many years with Henckles and Wüstof knives, this is my first Dalstrong. A small serrated paring knife can come in handy for small produce or vegetables, it has good functionality and stays sharp. After using the knife for a few months, to my surprise it turned out that the Dalstrong is a very high quality knife, the handle, blade, weight and grip of the knife are all excellent and very sharp. It's a…

Great price for a good product!

First of all I am a knife enthusiast and have purchased MANY individual hunting knives over the years which are still part of a large collection. And paid hundreds of dollars for knives in the past, when $100 bought five times more than it does today. There is no gap or small traps on the knife. The plastic handle and rivets are immaculate and I appreciate the weight. I have read several posts where people have stated that the knife they received was not sharp. Well, mine was super sharp, not…

Good quality mid-range knives

In the big world of knives, this Dalstrong paring knife is just the ticket. Not high-end by any means, but a country mile better than anything you can get at Wally World or Target. Fit and finish are good. Nothing special. The knife is heavier than expected. The size fits my larger and less fleshy hands well. The blade size is a little large for my preference when peeling fruit and vegetables. I like a thin and short blade for this job. One that can take tighter turns. How does he cut? I don't…
