🔧 Optimized Fuel Pump Module: Delphi FG0052 Review

It wasn't bad at all to change. My transmitter unit is out of order as you can see in the second photo. plug contacts. It was a replacement pump that cost more than the Delphi. Lasted 2 years before the gearbox failed and also caused starting problems. It was also very noisy. As other reviewers have said, don't buy any other pump! Unless, like me, you want to get your tank out again in a few years.

I had problems with the fuel gauge. I just used the odometer to tell me when to fill up. Then one day the Blazer just wouldn't start while I was driving it down the street. Checked online, decided to buy an exact replacement despite the price being higher than the smaller brands. Connected the pigtail adapter to the wiring and installed a new Delphi fuel pump (exact replacement). Fired up Blazer and it worked right away. So happy with the purchase. If you need a fuel pump I would recommend spending a little more for a better pump. Although replacing the pump is not difficult, it does take time. I posted a video tutorial on removing the fuel tank, changing the pump and reinstalling the fuel tank. If you think about it, these videos might help. Installed this pump on a 99 Chevy Blazer. Spending too much money on the best available pump as the job of a shade tree mechanic is not easy. This is an OEM pump replacement. It will probably survive the car. If you do the work yourself, it will not be easy. But for a shade tree mechanic like me, it's perfectly within reach. Be sure to purchase a new snap ring and fuel line clamps. A major problem you may encounter is when replacing the wiring harness. Perfect replacement for my 99 LT Blazer. Much cheaper than what you can get at your local parts store. This is a great replacement pump. I installed it 2000km ago and it works great. The pump itself had all the parts needed for a complete replacement except for the retaining ring. My locking ring was in good condition so I just reused it. It only took half an hour to install the pump itself, but it took about 7 hours to remove and reinstall the gas tank.
