I finally figured out how to use my

. I love/hate that thing. It made a holey mess and was so hard to turn. The screen got clogged with cellulose and I had to take it apart and clean it halfway through. I had to twist it so hard that it wobbled and wouldn't hold the clamp. I HAVE THE TRICK! Roast the tomatoes a little first. I halved my Roma tomatoes and cooked them for 5 or 10 minutes so they were soft and juicy. I let them cool down a bit and THEN ran them through the VICTORIO processor. The handle turned slightly, the screenโ€ฆ

Victorio VKP 250 - excellent labor savings

Victorio VKP 250 - excellent labor savings. I made 30 pounds of tomatoes in the same time as 10 pounds the traditional way. I'm glad the strainer that came with it was a tomato and apple sauce strainer because the extra strainer(s) I ordered hadn't arrived yet. It was easy to assemble and use, but cleaning the tomato strainer is no easy task and it should come with a brush to help with the process. Otherwise I would say this is a great buy for anyone making sauces or jams. It's important toโ€ฆ

That works great! - Food strainer

I was planning to buy a Foley meat grinder to process my wife's tomatoes but Revain's reviews of the meat grinder weren't very positive so I looked on Revain's search engine. and I saw the Victorio food strainer. Reviews were positive and the only warning was that it can be messy to work with. We bought one and solved the "dirty" problem by attaching the processor to a kitchen cutting board long enough to span the kitchen sink. Our test run with 8 liters of tomatoes only took about 5 minutesโ€ฆ

Doesn't work properly.

This was a terrible purchase. It's not very difficult to assemble, but disassembling when you're processing 50# tomatoes is a big and sloppy mess. I had to do this over and over again as the snail kept clogging and I never got that lovely sauce that I see in the photos here. I tried raw tomatoes following directions. I ended up feeding one piece at a time to make progress. I tried pre-cooking the tomatoes that were still stuffed. I even processed them in a food processor before straining. Itโ€ฆ

I had reservations.

I have every little gadget and kitchen utensil man knows and I've bought quite a few disappointing ones. those items that I struggled with a few times and ended up gifting to a more patient friend or family member. I was very surprised that without reading the instructions (note I mentioned lack of patience) I was able to assemble the device, aside from figuring out the 'good stuff' chute. I can't understand NSE and W when driving either, so no wonder. Anyway, I used it to make a small batch of

Love love! for food strainers

I love love love this item! While watching some canning videos my husband came across this article and looked it up on Revain. He was convinced that I should try. I've also doubted something that seems too good to be true and it took me weeks to spend money on it. Well, the tomatoes in the garden are ripe and I always make my own sauce and preserve it, but I've always run out of seeds in the sauce because I've never had a better way to get rid of them. Well, then along comes this food strainerโ€ฆ

If you can handle juice or pulp, you NEED one of those.

I didn't buy my Victorio from Revain; It was actually a gift from my aunt. If you make tomato sauce or jelly, or otherwise process the juice/pulp, you NEED one of these. It's not that expensive and it's such an improvement over the old wooden pestle/roller conical screen. Victorio is simple: insert the spring and the food screw; Rotate the desired filter cone and fix it. Put on a clear plastic cone that will extend the strainer (this will help the waste get into the bowl). Screw Victorio to the

Colander and Food Strainer Design Overview

I have owned this food processor for three (3) years and use it regularly, especially during the summer season. In particular, I bought it to process tomatoes for canning. I find that the most basic updates are missing in the design: my main complaint is the plastic auger that pushes the fruit through a stainless steel strainer. The auger does not fit completely within the crankcase, but its clearance is 1 1/2 inches and is prevented by a spring mounted on a horizontal shaft. The fruits getโ€ฆ

Wow! Much better than Norpro which I have been using for 2 years now.

There are many reviews about it, mostly positive. This will be a product comparison rather than a review. After using the Norpro version (stupid) for 2 years I finally broke down and bought this one. Wow. I was about to write a review last week before even using it because it immediately screams "BEST QUALITY". Now that I've used it I'll do a product comparison. Overall: It's a no-brainer compared to the Norpro. The handle turns effortlessly, the tomatoes are easy to serve and best of all, they
