Breaks and wears out easily

Like - price and shipping Revain. Dislikes - None of the Dewalt attachments are very good. They will help you and are suitable for home use. However, if you're a pro or say you're building a big project, try a different brand.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Cleanliness

Less than an hour

A few hours later 2 of them were already broken. I use them with an impact wrench (it says made on the box) that my previous bit lasted YEARS. Extremely disappointed.

  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Functionality

Buyer Warning! for power tool parts and accessories

Four out of five of these sockets broke when driving ordinary screws. The only reason the 5th didn't break was because I found an old #2 cutter that wasn't too worn out and then I was able to finish my project with the old cutter. It's cheap scrap where the corners have been cut by either alloying or hardening or both. Shame on Dewalt!

  • Quality construction

Good to have around

If you're like me, you use your power tools jerkily. You can accept a few projects a month and then not touch them for several months. So I think it's good to have a pack of these on hand because I never know when something will wear out due to normal wear and tear in the middle of a project. Instead of straining and trying to finish the job, they make it easy to swap out a worn part and keep going.

  • Good but not great

Good fit and durability

I use a lot of Grip-Rite Gold screws and appreciate the Dewalt screwdriver when used with these screws. Continue reading my observations: - THE TIP FITS INTO THE SCREW HEAD WELL ENOUGH. The head of the screwdriver fits well enough into the head of the screw. I wish it sat a little lower but with the fit as you can see in the picture the Dewalt head still holds the bolt securely. -- STRONG HEAD. Using maximum torque, I slide the Dewalt screwdriver into the screw head. This usually caused broken…

Screwdriver with full hexagon shank Accessories

Sometimes a round shank just doesn't fit. In this case I needed a quarter inch drive, 2 inch bits to use as grinding mandrels. Used in a hand drill when grinding on a lathe. While round shanks usually work, hex shanks ensure the hole doesn't crack if the grinding pressure gets too high. Shank edges to bite into the wood but not so small that it splits. And of course, hex shanks leave more room for glue (superglue or epoxy works best for this application). Cargo bits for this purpose before I've

As described and annoying there.

They suck so much. Can't believe they don't last a day before the tip breaks when used on external screws. Two days. Two bits. Both have broken off the tip. I had one that lasted many years and eventually wore out. I thought buying five would be overkill but for the price it almost certainly was. I'll spend more on one now that I know what the heck the beats are. My first review was about anything but usage. I sometimes do a review and if there is a problem I return it at the time of the…
