Diamond Mounted Points Grinding Carving Review

I like that they grind glass well. I wish they had lasted a little longer. I use them to cut small pieces of stained glass for sun catchers.

They wear out faster than more expensive bits, but for the price I can't beat them. They chew 8 Moh Emerald well and quickly. The shank is too thin for standard Dremel collets, but rotates right in the middle with a keyless chuck.

I used them in my dremel to shape crooked stained glass windows. Worked much better than a diamond dremel. Big savings in grinding time! They will darken but hold up for a 16" x 16" piece. You get a set of 10 for very little money. I will buy again.

I use grinders with my Dremel for stained glass. I make mosaics but I prefer larger pieces of glass which are often very difficult to cut satisfactorily. I like this type of ridge the most. They really do their job. While they don't last very long, they do last longer than small and flimsy ones.

The product comes in a small plastic sleeve with burrs in separate grooves. I used one to grind off the head of a stripped screw. I took off a small amount of metal but the diamond coating quickly wore off. So I would say they are best for sculpting very small objects, which is what you would normally do with a Dremel tool, but no more. After all, they are so cheap that you can throw away the burr after one use and use it "fresh” the next time.

bits received, used immediately and absolutely NO problems with it. The bits fit my WEN rotary tool snugly and went through about 2 hours of non-stop grinding on a large piece of jasper. When it was finished I was surprised to see that it still looks brand new! I am more than happy! I'm sure these bits will withstand at least 3 decent sized stones with a Mohs hardness of 5-8 - in other words, these bits are built to last and do the job perfectly! I'll be back!
