Description of Dogtra ARC Remote Training Collar

ERGONOMIC DESIGN: The design of the ARC receiver is sleek and slim, which allows the collar to strap around the receiver and your dog’s neck seamlessly. It’ll be a comfortable fit for your dog, while also being hardly noticeable. IPX9K WATERPROOF CERTIFIED: The ARC is IPX9K waterproof certified, which means it passed the International Protection Marking system. Products are verified if they can stand a close-range high-pressure liquid spray from 4 angles (pressure of 80-100 bars and a temperature of 176°F). 3/4-MILE RANGE: The range of this training e-collar is perfect for any and all simple training commands for your dog. With a range of 3⁄4-mile, this e-collar is great for easy obedience, hunting, and K-9 training. It’s also expandable to up to two dogs so you can get double the amount of training at once. PRECISE CONTROL: With 127 correction levels, you’ll have no problem finding the perfect level for your dog with the gradual and precise correction control. The LCD screen is bright and easy to read, while the levels can be adjusted precisely at any time with the Rheostat Dial. CORRECTIONS: This e-collar has two different correction types. The first correction type is a Nick (quick 1⁄2-second) and the second correction type is a Constant correction (up to 12 seconds). The e-collar also has a Pager vibration which offers a clear vibration to alert dogs while training. Find the right fit for you and your dog with this dynamic e-collar.

That does not work. Best in Collars

This thing just decides when it works and when it doesn't. One minute it will still be working fine and preventing the dog from doing what it is doing and the next it will be doing nothing. It's really frustrating when I'm trying to follow my dog's training and this sequence is stopped by the very collar that's supposed to be doing the training. Unsatisfied. I've tried to shock myself with it, and sometimes it's shocking and sometimes it's not. That way I know it's not a problem if my dog's fur

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Empty

Purchased January 2021 APRIL 2021: Collar not responding Late MAY 2021: Returned for repair and ran 10 minutes without packaging. Sent for second repair. Early JUNE 2021: Delivery arranged by Dogtra LOST package. Dogtra only"Try UPS pickup". Ignore my protest. Bought a SportDOG collar and got on with my life. Late July 2021: The device was returned to me and the LCD on the remote control is not working. Worse condition than APR! I really couldn't even if I wanted to. Jamie, the customer service

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Works great on my stubborn, stubborn American Foxhound.

I have 1900 three years. It was great and my American Foxhound found a lot of freedom with him. We decided to buy this one as a Christmas present as the other had to be charged every day after 3 years of use. I'm so glad we did. This one suits her much prettier. Read the book on how to turn it on and off, I like it a lot more. I know it's off now. The range is great and I really like that the transmitter has a switch that you have to flip for boost or constant. I think this will save many pups…

Dogtra: forever

I LOVE my Dogtra, the best thing in the world. I have an ARC that expands to two dogs and has a fully waterproof system (transmitter and receiver). It has a stimulation range of 0-127, is fully waterproof, has pager stimulation and vibration, you can flip a small switch to switch between nick and constant stimulus, and an optional LCD screen. The collar is one inch black biolock with VERY solid hardware and the adjustable holes are spaced about 1cm apart (I cut mine but the collar was VERY…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Speed

It doesn't work and Dogtra's customer service is a joke

I received the loop collar on 3/1/2021 but haven't had time to use it for several weeks (error #1). I have a long haired dog and while the collar worked fine in my hand, I noticed that he rarely responded to the collar (maybe twice). Thinking I need longer teeth I ordered them directly from Dogtra but when they arrived I saw that they made no difference, no reaction from the dog. I tested charging again in my hand and this time there was no charging at all, just vibration. I put the original…

Good product! Got it for its 3/4 mile.

Great product! Got this for the 3/4 mile range, weatherproof design and expandability to 2 dogs. By placing the receiver on the inside of the collar they try to hide the look of the e-collar a bit, but it's still pretty obvious what it is. This design creates gaps on either side of the receiver so the entire collar does not touch the dog's neck, but this is perfectly normal and does not affect the collar's function. The features are great, and it took me a while to figure out how to turn off…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Useless features

This is the best energetic dog trainer when used properly. After 2 years of ownership and daily use, it still works great and charges. I trained Gracie in the zapper by letting her know that a very weak shock (which is why I love the dogtra) can be stopped instantly by doing what is asked of her. It took 15 minutes of training in just 2 days. Now all she needs is the vibration to know to go when she's not remembering, when she's out of sight on the trail, or when she's playing too roughly with…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Two days of battery life gone, still green. Please use these collars under the guidance of an experienced obedience trainer when used correctly. This is an electronic collar recommended by my obedience trainer as she is past her years and still works perfectly. I'm usually wary when it comes to e-collars because people can use them for animal cruelty, but this was a last resort for me and my dog after his behavior progressed and he bit someone. Our state has a 3-hit limit for dog bites, and…
