Emergency brake spare part

Very fast service and easy order. The item was as described and the photos were very good and helped in ordering the part.

The pivot is factory installed the wrong way round

During installation I found that the pivot was installed the wrong way round. Once I flipped it, installation was easy. I had a bit of a problem with one of the legs, but I was able to persuade her.

Wrong color and assembly

It was the wrong color just Gary Brawl not bDodge Agate and reassemble there is a video on youtube that someone should have died on how to assemble it correctly but the one shown Labor is the cheapest I've found.

Exactly what I need good parts

Replaces the original with OEM. It took about five years. I only had this one about a year ago but it seems to be made as well as OEC and was about 1/3 the cost. I need a new multi-function switch and for that I also get a porter.

This may require some modifications.

This part is marked as a 2002 Ram 1500 pickup, but the shape of each part is different from the original. The bracket that came with it doesn't fit at all. Luckily my old mounting hardware was still intact, so I just removed the grip from the new kit and put it in the old mount. If they fit, it's ok. However, as with everyone who has written here, the color has changed significantly.

Identical to the best OEM

As far as I can tell this item is an exact match of the Doge OEM part. The lever mounts in the reverse direction, but this can easily be corrected by comparing it to the standard part and adjusting accordingly. Installation is best accomplished by removing the steel rod from the parking brake mechanism, then installing the lever assembly, then snapping the rod into place (lever end first, then the other end). He's black - who cares? It works out! Cons: Being an OEM equivalent, it will breakโ€ฆ
