Not quite universal and short

Not quite universal. I had to redo it under the Dewalt multitool. And very short. Almost doesn't protrude from the tool. So it doesn't work because you can't get a blade to cut through the mortar.

Buy the Milwaukee version instead.

This abrasive lost its relevance very quickly. Then I bought a similar racquet in Milwaukee and it cut four times better than it should and still had life in it. If you need to cut long sections, avoid this bit.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • There is nothing here

Great for cutting out old grout

I have an old grout from the 1900's that is decaying. It cuts fairly decently with almost no dust in the air. A diamond blade angle grinder is the quickest way, but it's too dusty indoors. It worked great. I found a grout that wouldn't budge, so I left it alone. I really practiced my Dremel tool with these blades.

A reliable tool that gets the job done.

I used a 1/16" and 1/8" Dremel tool to grout the kitchen, foyer and two bathrooms in the house. 1/16 has proven to be the most useful, working in tight spaces and being equally useful in areas with wider seams. It holds up to heavy use and performs better than Chinese copies, which I think are prone to excessive vibration. I recommend it and will buy more in the future.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Works well - Oscillating tool accessory

A blade worked well to remove about 200 inches of urethane joint from the bottom of the tile and could probably cut another 80 inches or so. Tip: When removing grout around a tile that you don't want to damage, tape pieces of thin, uncorrugated cardboard to the edges of the tile so they extend slightly past the grout line. If you are very careful to keep the blade in line with the mortar, the mortar can be cut without this step, but a tiny slip can be disastrous.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some difficulties

It works - hand and power tools

If you need to remove the grout, then it will do. But it takes some practice and a very steady hand. If you're not careful, you'll not only remove the grout, you'll easily cut into each tile. Start with small areas that are less visible so you get used to it. And remember, you're going to make a lot of dust. Shut the doors, turn off the fans, put on at least a basic face mask, and get ready for some serious arm use. The main issue here is that due to the shape of the carbide blade and the…

Great tool: power tool parts and accessories

Used this on my Multi-Max Dremel to refill my bathroom grout and it's amazing. Removes grout quickly and easily and never seems to wear off. One caveat: if your tiles are less than 1/16 inch apart like mine, it will cut into the tile. This wasn't a problem for me - I have white tile and I used white grout so you can't tell the tile is a little nicked. In fact, I now have even tile spacing throughout the bathroom, so the result is positive. I would just say drive slowly and let the car do its…

Mortar Removed - Saved Entire Bathroom Remodel

I had to open up a wall to replace old plumbing pipes. The plumber didn't think I could remove the old tiles without breaking them, but either that or replace three entire walls of tiles. I couldn't get new tiles to match the old ones (55 years old). I started with a dremel rotary mortar but they didn't last long. I bought a Dremel Multi-Max, used a 1/16" blade and removed about 40 tiles, only breaking two and losing a few where the faucets went through the wall above the tub. You are not…

very efficient, good tool

It's not a fun tool like a chainsaw, but it gets the job done. I was removing grout on a 24 sq ft bathroom shower screen between 4"x4" tiles at 3:00 p.m. (with kids and work, find time to work whenever you can). It's small tiles, so the task was tedious, and the Dremmel, as you probably know, is noisy - and its dusty work in a fairly cramped space so the job isn't fun. But our old grout cracked in places and allowed water to seep through the tiles so this had to be done. The 1/16" blade got…
