Works well! Best in Door Hardware and Locks

I purchased this item for my son's business. It was easy to install and works very well. I recommend to anyone who has a store and needs this type of item in their store!

Spring is weak.

That's a great idea, but the spring mechanism is very, very short and flimsy, so it was difficult to install. So it doesn't take long to put it down - mine now holds a light towel. No problem.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Good product, unbeatable price.

Easy installation. It seems as good a design as others that cost 2-3 times more. Note. Comes with a keyed external access receiver, but this particular item does not include an external access lock cylinder.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Quick start guide

fits perfectly with no mess

I can only say that the installation was very easy as I was a maintenance supervisor at the university. I had to drill 4 new holes and cut them as well (this replaced the 1960's anti-panic bar) so I had to do a bit of work to make this work. Removing the old system took 15 minutes, installing this new system previously took 1.5 hours As for the durability of the panic bar, it's too early to talk about that

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons

Great value for something like this.

I bought two and they went in pretty easily. This would have been easy if I hadn't tried replacing the old one with a key entry as the hole I had was placed slightly differently than would be optimal for this device. You have to play with the spacers and hit them so that they snap to the door jamb. I had a metal door jamb which can be tougher than wood. I was able to get it working without too much trouble and would particularly recommend this product for a fresh install. They'll end up with…

Cons
  • Not the best

Great, but be careful with the instructions.

Great product for the price. One caveat: As other reviews have pointed out, the mounting screw size in the instructions is incorrect. The mounting screws are actually metric M5. This size can be easily drilled and tapped, or the SAE 10-24 bolts can be replaced with metric bolts. Do not attempt to use a 1/4-20 screw size as instructed. You are too big. I used #10 X 1/2" hex self-tapping screws to attach the stem assembly. For the latch, I drilled and tapped 10-24 x 3/4" pan head machine screw…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Negative gift

Hands off, hands off, hands off this product! He ruined my door!

Instructions and template for drilling and cutting Screws are WRONG and ruined my door! (SEE PHOTO) 2 Approvals: 1. The template says to drill a 7/32" hole and tap a tap for 1/4-20 screws, which I did. The screws provided are NOT SAE, THEY ARE METRIC, so I went to the HW shop to get new 1/4"x 20" screws..2.The template doesn't match the product.WHO INCLUDES THE DRILLING PATTERN THAT DOESN'T MATCH THE PRODUCT!So now the door is drilled and for the product that does not fit properly, drilled and…
