A leaking steering input shaft seal is a common problem with vintage cars, and a common problem is buying a new or remanufactured assembly for $100 to $500+. This is a great alternative solution and it worked for me. I replaced the gasket in my 1965 El Camino and also used Lucas Stop Leak power steering fluid. Just in case.
