The flow is better than the refrigerator and subjectively the water is tastier. I've read that this filters out fluoride better than the old factory filters, although I haven't tested that. Too expensive for a filter. They cornered us with a custom filter type.

Do not buy from this store. These are defective filters. I replaced the old filter with the one I got from Revain (have done it many times) and the new filter made a grinding noise and hardly any water dripping. I tested this water filter to make sure it works. I used the test stick that came with my ZERO water jug. So I tested the tap water. 269 parts per million When I tested the water through the fridge water filter only 243 was only a 10 parts per million (PPM) change. First purchase in September: product arrived in original packaging, fits well and works perfectly. Update #2 March 12: Went for water and got hit. After opening the filter cartridge compartment, the paper towel I used to line the cartridge is now wet. Remade the paper towel (slightly thicker) and when I came back to check a few hours later the paper towel was wet again. Just requested a refund. I am one of the few people who use a tester to measure ppm in water. Anything above 200 ppm is considered dangerous. Here in Washington DC, the water typically falls between 167 and 182 ppm.
