Mess: 3D Printing Consumables

This is the worst round spool I have ever used. It is not constantly pushed out by entanglement of the thread. It's just horribly wound on a spool. The only way to get successful prints is to sit next to the printer and correct tangles when I hear the characteristic noise of spool jams. I had three large prints that failed many hours after printing. Last time I spent 8 hours on it and fixed it every 30-60 minutes. I missed a catch because I was feeding the kids and it messed up the print at 8…

Easy to print - glossy, even and excellent quality, but.

One of the best filaments I have used. Easy to print on - glossy, consistent and excellent quality but the color change seems so far apart. The only reason I bought it is because I want the colors to change. So I printed a lot of vases/planters. Usually 1 vase weighs about 40-80 grams of thread when using Cura Vase (spiral mode) for cutting. Thus, within 40-80 grams of the thread used, the color remains the same. I want a color change every 30 grams. Again, the only reason I bought this at a…

Made a friend happy

Like all silk filament I've tried, this is purely decorative and the layer adhesion isn't as good as regular PLA, but that's fine because it * Rainbow* filament is and also a bit pricey for prototyping (which I mostly do). It prints significantly better than SunLu Silks. The color changes happen with a reasonable frequency, but some of the transitions are a bit unnerving. A print rated around 210 seems to be the golden gap between smooth styling and a matte finish. The dimensional tolerance was
