This pump is a workhorse and pumps gas faster than any gas station pump. The only thing to note is to make sure the voltage is 12+ DC from a good source or the pump will not start. I used heavy duty 4 gauge patch cords for the connection. The first time I pumped 14 gallons of gas in under a minute. It's better to twist by hand and I didn't spill anything. This Fill-Rite fuel pump works as expected. It's loud, sounds energized, but gets the job done as expected. No "gallons per minute" count. For me, the electrical connection was terribly small. I switched to 8GA copper, 3-wire cable from Surplus Marine. Appropriate measures must be taken to connect the fused battery directly. Bought for 275 gallon off road diesel thanks. Assembled and connected red to + and black to - as instructed in the instructions. The pump worked but did not fill with fuel. The diesel level in the tank is 2-3 inches below the pump and the suction pipe is fully lowered 10 inches from the bottom of the tank.
