Ideal for tight spaces

No more banging on the locknut with a flathead screwdriver. It also allows the nut to be tightened more than knocked off and fits where channel locks will not.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Not the best

Yes, it works for Ar-15 Castle Nut

People who say it doesn't work for Ar-15 are wrong. I decided not to listen to the reviews and give it a try anyway. Worked perfectly, held tight and I was able to apply as much force as I needed without slipping or playing. If you are looking for a castle nut wrench, you will still only use it once or twice in your life. It's cheap and does the job.

I'm a commercial electrician and I love them!

I am a commercial and industrial electrician, I don't usually like to carry a lot of extra tools, especially appliances. A colleague showed me his set, I checked them out with a $3 gift card and said why not. Surprisingly I've used them quite a bit as I thought they come in handy in a tight square box, great for switch panels as they prefer that we don't use a screwdriver and assemblers to hammer the locking nut in. Panel. They get into tight spaces and tighten the lock nut.

Pros
  • Convenient to use
Cons
  • little things

Just buy it: Works exactly as it's supposed to

These are well made, high quality wrenches that are invaluable when needed. They are stronger and cut more accurately than I expected. They securely grip the lock nut for removal and tightening. I bought them just in case, knowing that one day I would regret not having them. Well, this past weekend I had to replace a damaged 1/2 inch LiquidTight fitting from a cramped single box that powers my pool pump. This key did the job perfectly. No coarse screwdriver + hammer blow that could damage the…

Useful sometimes, mostly no faster than blocking the channel

Hi, I'm an apprentice/assistant electrician who connects a lot of MC jacks in all sorts of commercial situations. I only bought them to see how useful they would be to me in the field. So far I've used them twice within a few weeks and each time I've done so the tool itself has done an excellent job, except it took me longer to get out of my pocket and put the nut on and tighten it than this could be. just use my crawler or whatever. Overall, this is a rather niche tool that has limited…

Great value for money for the hobby electrician!

I had a small project to extend the lighting in my garage and used flexible hose between the lights to avoid lots of internal overhead wiring. When I originally installed it, I didn't have those special buttons. I got incredibly frustrated trying to tighten wire connectors in electrical boxes with locks. The channel locks kept slipping off the connector nut. Ordinary wrenches didn't help me at all. I got this tool set for a very reasonable price and it made tightening the nuts on the pipe…

  • Sleek design makes it easy to maneuver in tight spaces

*Great* alternative for reloaders

I've included a thumbnail in my Youtube video review. They were recommended to me by a friend who also does manual loading. If you use Lee precision die sets you will find that they come with new locking rings and a very weak and brittle plastic tool that you must purchase separately to repair them. These wrenches (especially 1/2 inch) are a great alternative to them. I wish they were a bit thicker (about 2x thicker would be ideal) but I suspect they are so thin for a specific reason or…
