Direct replacement of cartridge type thermistor in E3D hotends. A custom made thermistor encapsulated into an easy to use cartridge package. Genuine Semitec 104GT thermistors used. Comes with (1) Hotend Thermistor with attached connector and (1) connector cable measuring 40 inches (101cm).

Doesn't last long - 3D Printer Parts & Supplies

Same problems as other reviews: They have a short lifespan. The price doesn't confuse me, I know E3D should be premium. But so far AliExpress components are proving to be cheaper but also MUCH better. Every E3D thermistor I've had never worked properly for a long time. For me they tend to fail at the Molex connector - loose connections will cause the printer to turn off. Although mine have had other E3d thermistors failing on the cartridge itself. Not sure what not to like

Looks like the original block that came with my Prusa I3 MK2S. None of the reviews mentioned this but it does come with a 41" extension which is a BIG bonus as mine ripped out when the print failed. The bonded solution here with wires is of course the weak point, but there aren't many metals that can be heated to over 250Β°C and repeatedly cooled and still be good conductors of electricity and flexible. Copper has problems here, aluminum too. It's just part of the game, they're consumables. Note

Don't buy any more 3D printer accessories

When I switched to a real e3d hotend I thought it would be nice to get a real thermistor too. Sure, it costs the same as a pack of three cheap thermistors, but it's the real deal! Right? Not correct. This thing is as strong as a dandelion. After installing everything (and I was careful with that!), updating the firmware and even running the PID autotune, I started getting the MINTEMP error.
