My 13 year old Honda kept showing the gas cap. I stopped refueling and it was still happening. I changed the gas cap after searching online for suggestions and it worked! So happy and saved me a trip to the dealership not to mention the money.

This replaced the original gas cap on my 2005 Honda Pilot. I got a flashing 'Check Fuel Cap' warning and the 'Check Engine' light came on. Installed this new cover and both warnings were gone after about 100 miles of driving. A bit pricey but problem solved.

The gas cap was definitely OEM, in Honda packaging and I'm ordering it before I get a chance to look at the old one on the car. After I cleaned the old gasket on the cap and screwed the cap onto the gas tank, the check engine light went out. I would definitely recommend buying from this site if I should need it in the future. We bought after a few fill ups and the check engine light came on. Not very difficult to install but some instructions might be helpful. There is a plastic clip/rivet that needs to be put through a small hole on the tether cable to engage if you want to use this feature. I used vise pliers to remove and reinstall, but they could easily be damaged if not careful.

My 2006 Odyssey got a message 'check gas cap' so I bought this gas cap to replace my original cap. I called my local Honda dealer and they (of course) cost twice as much as the Revain. It was easy to install and within two days the error message was gone. To be honest I had no idea gas tanks could go bad. It was an easy fix, though, and I was happy to find it on Revain for a lot less.

Poor rating for missing the sleeve/bolt that connects the line to the intended hole next to the cap. I removed my old pin but could not use it to secure the new cap, four pins were splayed. I have a 2006 Odyssey and finally managed to secure the leash using my existing pin in the inner hole of the gas cap flap. Seriously, how much extra cost would a Honda cost to include a spare bushing/pin? However, my fuel cap warning light on the dash went out after a few days of driving.

I had two CEL codes on my car, one of them was erased by this gas cap. Obviously the car has another problem that I need to deal with, but FYI the few people who buy this gas cap and complain that it doesn't clear the engine check - THIS MEANS YOUR CAR HAS ANOTHER PROBLEM ! I purchased this product and installed it with no problems. The product was sold as is and the "Check fuel cap" error message has been corrected. I installed this part in March 2018, now in June 2018 (after 4000 miles) the same message is there again. I have checked the cap several times and refilled with fresh fuel but the message persists.
