Cannot be used as the spout is too large

I could not use pliers as the size of the pliers spout was too large to fit the locking rings which had to be removed when washing the Maytag -Machine. unfortunately unusable for this work. Otherwise they look nice. Just not for all conditions.

I love these circlip pliers

I love these circlip pliers. This is the second set, the first had problems but the seller replaced them very quickly and efficiently. So the 2nd movement is like day and night. I would recommend them for medium to light heavy duty work. Good price and value for today.

Good quality and good price

After buying a CHEAP pair of pliers with interchangeable pins and many disappointments I ordered these. They are well made, well packaged and the storage bag is good. The only problem is that the pins are too big for the smaller snap rings, but you can buy snap rings that will work. I can live with that, but not with pliers that keep slipping off.

Very soft and rough finish

They look nice from a distance and have a nice case, but they are very soft. I had a crease removing the clip from the fork tube and others had large burrs on the ends that I had to file off. It wasn't difficult to sew them up. I assume they are cast iron or even light cast iron. Also the ends are too big for most regular clips.

Best for large snap rings

I needed to replace the snap ring on a Bulldog angle jack on farm equipment. The only tool I had on hand was with reversible "X" tips, and they just didn't suit the job. They fit small rings but are over 2 inches in diameter. He just doesn't open the ring wide enough. I was only able to buy the one tool I needed, but figured I might as well get a full set while I'm at it. Then I have them here next time I need them. Extremely soft tips, couldn't handle 4 clamps.

Originally I wanted to give 3 or 4 stars. I bought this set to complement my external snap ring pliers. I had to replace the "cross" (yes it is a cross, but in AG related devices it says cross - got it). The first two snap rings came out fine, #3 and 4 were a bit more difficult to remove (I just thought the snap rings were old).
