Cheap quality for power tools and hand tools

When I first used a size #1 screwdriver the screwdriver bit fell out of the handle rendering the whole thing essentially useless.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Easily torn

Bought to work with N gauge model trains

I bought these in the hope that they would allow me to work with N gauge model trains. (Those screws are tiny!) Extremely strong and well made. Costs money!

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Comfortable, well made and durable.

Not bad, very handy for small household chores. I had the exact same set for many years but lost it when I moved. They are not heavy but are ideal for tightening screws in reading glasses, radios and similar work.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Reasonable quality, good for screwdrivers

Screwdrivers are designed for fine work, not heavy muscle work, so I don't think power should play a big role for them. They're inexpensive but not exceptional quality (you get what you pay for) but as I don't intend to use them often I'm happy with both the drivers and the handy storage case.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Working speed

What happened to the thick-handled micro-screwdrivers?

You can find these screwdrivers all over the internet at reasonable prices and acceptable quality. But a few years ago you could find them with handles that were much thicker than the shaft. I thought it was, but they broke up again. For some jobs you need the extra turning power that a thicker handle provides.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Problems

Nice set for the price

This is a good set for working from home with small screws like the ones in your glasses. However, I would probably look for a better set when working with the watch, but most of the time it works well and seems pretty solid. I haven't had any breaks, creases or wear yet, but I haven't had them for too long.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Almost never

Works best in screwdriver

Please note that nowadays all toys (from abroad) have these little screws on the battery compartment? Yes, that's why I got this set. However, they are a bit awkward to use as it is difficult to grip the barrel. The flat part on the opposite end of the screw isn't stable either, or you could use that - it just wobbles and twists and I can't figure out what it is, but it doesn't help stabilize the screwdriver either, but for the price do the job I wanted.

Pros
  • Free for class
Cons
  • Actually I don't like anything about it, everything is fine

Phillips #1 screwdriver Broke after a few uses

At first I liked this set and it seemed like just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the #1 Phillips screwdriver stopped working after the first 10 uses. What holds the various metal parts together inside the housing must have loosened, because instead of screws, the tip is now turning. The first time this happened was when I was trying to unscrew the battery cover on one of my toddler's toys, so it wasn't due to unusual loading.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

I bought another set, quite nice with colored plastic handles, but none of them were as easy as this one, which I think is what I wanted in the first place. They are great for all the little things in life today. For example glasses that twist out, or battery cases that I need them for. I bought a thermometer to test the water or whatever I need to know the temperature. With the holidays it's used to open what needs to be opened or tightened bet my son in law will have to borrow it. Now that I…

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive
