You actually exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be happier with the quality and ease of installation. I recommend using a propane or butane torch to heat the tips and fill them halfway with solder, then insert the stripped wire into the melted solder. This works great and is much faster than trying to heat such a large area with a soldering iron. I will definitely buy them in the future if needed.

I used this type of connector when repairing forklifts. Required to craft a 25' Extension Cord Set for Road Maintenance. I am very happy with this connector, it is well built and easy to solder/attach to battery leads with a propane torch. I leave one end permanently connected to my truck's battery and matching ends of jumper and extension cords. 12ft to 35ft connecting cables can be easily sourced if required.

After I soldered the wires to the connectors, I put the wires in the red connectors. Then I changed the wires to the tractor, one to the battery and the other to the tractor, when I connected the red connectors they broke. There was no overpowering. If they cracked I would fill them with epoxy and use them, but they broke into lots of pieces. It seemed to me that the plastic never really melted. It was easy work, unfortunately the red plastic plugs were worse.

Unfortunately I needed 8-10 gauge, AWG and the others didn't fit as well. Although the product is good, the instructions are TERRIBLE, no name or phone number to contact support! These connectors are very easy to work with heavier gauge wire. Metal connectors are simply soldered to the wire before being inserted into the plastic housing. The housing holds the connectors very securely, and the design makes the connection between the two connectors comfortable and secure. Received yesterday and installed today. I bought a winch to attach to my receiver for toms that require a reverse winch. If necessary, cut the wires on the winch cable and fit new quick disconnects. I decided to solder the contacts instead of crimping them. Worked great and now I have a portable stern winch to put on when I need it. Binds fast.
