PLA Plastic (Polylactic Acid) - a eco-friendly polymer which is harder than ABS, and melts at a lower temperature. Amount: 1kg (2.2lbs) of Filament Per Spool. Filament Diameter: 2.85mm (Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.05mm). Recommended Nozzle Temperature: 200 - 240C - Depending on type of 3D printer, printing speed, and ambient conditions. Compatibility: Works with all 2.85mm 3D printers including Makerbot, Afinia, Lulzbot, Flashforge, Solidoodle, 3D Doodler (pen), Mbot, and Type A.

Filament is very fragile

Please update your review below that the filament is very fragile. The company recently contacted me and said I received a bad batch and sent a replacement. This raised them from 2 to 4. Any company will have problems, but it's nice to find a company that is actively solving the problem. So the IC3D filament is very brittle, I only used about 1/4 spool and it broke at least 1/2 dozen times. How fragile will the items I craft be? I will not buy again.

This is a really great thread. I only use it in my Lulzbot.

This is a really great thread. I only use it in my Lulzbot Taz5. It has excellent thermal performance and consistently produces reliable prints. Only once (of many repeat purchases) have I received a poor quality spool of filament. I could tell it wasn't normal quality as the surface of the thread was matte and not shiny as usual. Being an optimist I tried it anyway and it sealed my nozzle pretty quickly. Lesson learned: I shouldn't have tried this when I knew it probably wouldn't work. At the…

Buy this if you are planning on having an aneurysm

First off, let me say that I use a lot of filament in my business. Because of this, I tested many different brands of filament to try and find the "one" perfect filament. I considered the IC3D filament to be a good American product to stand behind. That is, until I received it in the mail, the filament was sealed in the box, but I noticed that the spool was covered in dust inside the box. Dust and 200+C hotend are not compatible. So I took a coil and blew it with compressed air next to my HEPA…
