Biscuits and Locks: Kayak, Canoe & SUP Carrier

Great Trunk. Holds 2 of my surfboards securely during a 45 minute drive to the beach on the freeway at over 70 mph. However, both sides of the rack must have locks.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Long Delivery

Appears to be good quality.

Works great and is easy to install for the most part. Ratchet handles could have had more leverage for tighter turning. I rode it for 4 hours and it kept my longboard at 80mph with no issues.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Fading

SUPER FAST AND EASY TO USE! I LOVE THIS STAND!

Chic shelf! I installed it on a '97 Land Cruiser and surf EVERY DAY all year round in New England. It's SUPER FAST / EASY TO USE! With freezing temperatures in the single digits, every second counts and this rack is by far the quickest and most convenient! I even bought a second one for our other family SUV.

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Will not fit Audi Q7 factory cross members

I am devastated to see that the Audi factory cross members are too thick to use with this product. I tried to do my research before ordering this and would like to get it from REI because returning it would be a lot easier. The listing indicates how wide the bars should be, but does not specify the maximum thickness. I have never had a problem installing this crossbar.

Very nice shelf! Fits Accessory

I love these racks. So much more comfortable than belts! I've used them with surfboards, paddleboard and soup. Keep in mind that with a small car you may not have enough space between the brackets to accommodate a wide SUP. No problem for surfboards and recumbent bikes. I don't have soup so it's not a problem for me (I'm just friends with them sometimes). The narrower ones hardly fit (Mercedes C250 with luggage racks).

Too much work and not well suited to factory or secondary shelving

This is by far the worst shelving system I've come across. I've been using Yakima for a long time but wanted something that could carry our SUPs. The video they have for it makes it look like a jewel of a rack and it's easy to use. I tried installing this in 2 different cars. 1 with Yakima pole system and one with factory roof rack poles. He didn't fit in either. I then read that it is recommended to remove the rack when not in use with SUP because of the straps. I don't spend 30-45 minutes…

Inno Locking Surf/SUP Stand

This is my second set. The first set is still in daily use. These frames are exposed to the tropical Hawaiian sun all year round and the plastic coating on the wires will begin to crack after 2 years of continuous use. They still work perfectly, I've just bought another replacement set to use when the original set is installed on our second machine. They adjust quickly, open, close and lock and transport even 16 and 17 foot boards downwind reliably, even in strong winds. The rack will most…

Fastest and Easiest Binding

These things are good because they're the quickest way to bind boards. Seriously, lashing down your gear takes just a few seconds longer than just laying the boards on the roof. Only 4 stars because they don't lock. There is a lock on one side and not on the other. Locks are actually just a deterrent against random thieves. Inno really should have put locks on both sides. Sorry for disclosing information dear owners of Inno! Also, the bolts were too long to fit the cross members on my Ford…
