We bought our first InSinkErator on August 7th, 2017 and it worked great but only 17 months. It died in March 2019 (no longer heating up) and was replaced by InSinkErator with little effort. The replacement then died in May 2020 (probably from Covid1) after just 14 months. So that's 3 different divisions in 2 1/2 years. Not a long lifespan. Glad they gave a 3 year guarantee. I bought this to replace an old Insinkerator Hot 1 that broke. The hole in my countertop is 1 1/4" in diameter and the specs for this product say it can be installed in a 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" hole. But I found that this is not the case. This version - H-WaveC - does not fit in the existing hole. My Insinkerator Wave is 4 years and 4 months old. For the first time with this model. I've owned my home for 28 years and have always had some sort of Insinker hot water model. The style of the newer versions is much nicer than the previous ones. After installation it works very well.
