    Works great and was a cheaper option than buying one.

    No more lugging the docking station up and down. So I bought it to have a dedicated docking station on the second floor of my house. Works great and was a cheaper option than buying a second Roomba. Very happy with my purchase :-)

    Complicated product and they increase the price by 64%!

    We bought this base station (and formerly the battery) to overcome the "charging error 5" that many of you are familiar with. The new base station solved the problem pretty well, but after 7 months the problem is still as bad as ever. However, to my surprise, I found the price jumped from $39 to $63.99 - a 64% increase in 7 months. I think they call that STRAPING.

    It does what it's supposed to do

    I knew my old docking station was dead when the Roomba 880 couldn't find a "home". I ordered this and it solved my problem. As a bonus, I found the 880 to charge faster than it has in a long time. These things must be very well done as the dock was very poorly packaged for shipping but it arrived intact and has been working fine since I received it. It survived the journey from the carrier to me via USPS, so I'm confident it will hold up to normal wear and tear with frequent use.

    Much better than the original

    Why iRobot didn't ship this version with my Roomba 750 purchase I don't know. Base. With hardwood floors, the old charger was a nightmare as it could slide and slide while the Roomba was trying to dock. I tried using mats under the old version but it only helped a little. Many times I would come home to a dead space and the charger would be pushed in such a way that it was impossible to reach. I wouldn't have bought this if my old charger hadn't failed, but I'm glad I did.

    Roomba troubleshooting step one

    My Roomba slightly flooded in my basement and appeared dead. When I turned the Roomba on, there was no light on the charger and it wasn't charging. I thought I killed him. Somehow I got the idea to buy this charger to see if it's enough to power the Roomba for troubleshooting. Wow, that solved all my problems! During the flood only the charger burned out. Not the rumba itself. Small price compared to diagnostic repair or replacement! So if in doubt (the green light doesn't flash when the Roomba

    Plastic charger for irobot 800 series

    I love how iRobot can move and charge. However, there is a significant drawback in the design of the charger. Sometimes when the iRobot isn't properly aligned, it will rotate back and forth on the charger to improve contact. This will break the clips holding the charging clips in the charger, preventing them from staying high enough to hook the contact onto the iRobot. They break because they are held in place by a screw in a piece of plastic with a hole in it. The plastic just breaks off. This

    I am very disappointed with this product. My Roomba keeps throwing Error #5 (Charger not delivering at least 1.25 amps for more than 30 minutes straight). The wall charger works perfectly. I cleaned all the contacts as suggested in the Roomba manual, nada. I then connected my multimeter, set it to ammeter mode, in series with the charging station, and GUESS WHAT! It appears to be drawing around 1.1 amps, and this causes Roomba's built-in safety system to shut off charging 30 minutes after it's…

    6 months and ready for vacuum parts and accessories

    I bought a new docking station as mine had worn out over the years. iRobot changed the dock a bit and I was happy to get a newer version. 6 months later both of my Roomba robots were having trouble docking with this thing. You find the station itself okay, but turn around and can't find the contacts. They'll toggle on and off multiple times, rolling across the room as they try to find the right angle to dock.     While the "light" of the original 700 series charging platform was still on, my Roomba would not charge. After 4 years I decided it was the battery. Ordered a "universal" lithium battery as it had better reviews than the real Roomba battery (iRobot). Strange but okay. The lithium battery has not been charged.
