🔐 Johnson Hardware Brass Pocket Door Privacy Lock: Securing Your Door with Elegance Review

I have not installed this lock. I found one I liked better! There is nothing wrong with this Johnson lock, just personal preference.

Tell her to shut down immediately. This is not real brass. Even thin plastic is not durable and not reliable. I won't buy it again dammit.

This works great and with my closer it always locks. The plastic buttons could be black, that's the only thing that makes it cheap.

Easy installation on a door that was previously used as a swing door. A bit of hammer and chisel and you were good to go. Can be opened and closed easily.

Complete well made product. I have installed Johnson pocket doors before. The instructions are good and the whole mechanism works very well. The construction is well built, durable and will stand up to constant use.

Assembly was very easy to install. Since I was using an earlier hinged door with a standard set of locks, it took very little work to install the block into the door leaf where the set of locks came out. The latch was also easy to install. Works very smoothly.

Inexpensive solution for sliding doors. I actually used this on a sliding door that I hung and it works great for the application. I wouldn't use this in a high end setup but it's fine for any basic door. The handle hole must be drilled to specification, it will not fit a normal handle hole (the discs are slightly larger)

As good as original equipment. They were designed to replace the door hardware on our houseboat 99 Stardust. This type of lock really sucks, but with pocket doors and what the original production used, there aren't many other options. It was the best money deal I could find. After replacing all the door hardware that just seemed to be worn out, they work much better.
