The supplied fasteners, specifically the hex nuts or "NYLOK NUTS" did NOT match the required and supplied screws. A trip to the hardware store later for 24x M8 - 1.25 nuts means we COULD be in business (note these are metric bolts). Another problem though is that the top of the screws go through the holes in the rubber mount they are supposed to hold, so I used washers to keep them from falling through. Based on the photos on the website, each 'usage' picture shows quick release nuts, not nylock nuts. The installation drawing clearly shows the exclusive use of nylock nuts. I assumed the pressure between the bottom plate and the solid quick nuts would be sufficient/easier than using nylock nuts. Bought two kayaks, needed them for my Honda Crv. Inside the box was just a sheet of instructions, most likely translated into English. Also included is a small wrench and they expect you to use it on the lock nuts. You need a 13mm open-ended ratchet (see photo) or you'll swear and break your fingers. I've only used this to tow a kayak once but so far it seems solid and well built. Assembly wasn't too difficult, but it does have a rubber component that makes it a bit difficult to get the bars in. I would suggest adding a rubber mallet to the instructions, if I didn't have decades of IKEA assembly experience I'd be really struggling.
