After you accumulate a set of wire cutters from obscure manufacturers, in which all cutting edges are crushed after the very first cable, you think about buying a normal tool for normal money :)

They looked and felt like a pair of pliers well made; and other Knipex tools I've used have been great! But they broke on first use, cutting a 1mm thick wire. It must have been a bad batch. Revain refused to replace them or refund the money.

I bought these for model making/miniature painting. I can't get over how well they cut and how well they handle. I know that the Germans are engaged in the manufacture of machine tools. seriously and it shows the quality here.100%.

I build industrial control panels for packaging lines. I've used many flush cutters over the years but this is by far the best I've had. They cut the ties perfectly smooth. Cheaper ones leave sharp corners that will slice you to the bone. I also cut cables. to 12 gauge cuts like butter. I wouldn't try 10 gauge or more. Buy them, you won't regret it. ken.G

However, the difference in quality is very clear. First, the cut surfaces match perfectly. The cuts are precise and precise without any bending. This is one of those tools that is a bit cumbersome due to the high price, but pays for itself after intensive use. If you do a lot of board level electronics and often cut leads, wires and the like then these cutters are awesome. You must know beforehand that the dies must not be exactly flush.
