Quick repair and perfect replacement

Bought to replace the Tektro pads that came with my Cervelo. They just squeaked and creaked and didn't give me confidence in either dry or wet weather. After much decency I decided to replace these pads before I have to replace my teeth. I'm a serial product researcher. I read reviews and ask questions on the forums before I buy anything. These pads have been recommended many times on many forums so I said why not? The first trip and I realized I had made the right choice. There are no squeaks…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes

  • Available in white only

Great upgrade over the stock brake pads! (Fuji CCR2 - 2008)

I bought these brakes for a Fuji CCR2 road bike (with Cane Creek SC3 brakes with cartridge pads) where they replaced a badly worn set of standard pads. They were quick and fairly easy to install since they are cartridges. All you have to do is loosen the set screw, then take out the old pads and put in the new ones before replacing the screw. During the test drive, they stopped faster and much quieter than the previous pads, even when new. The old brake pads were especially prone to fading in…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

You can't go wrong with this!

From an upgrade perspective, replacing bad pads with good pads is the best bang for your buck. were supplied with my Fuji road bike until I replaced them with them. Braking is much smoother and I can control my speed much better. The Tektro brakes aren't great, but pads aside, they're decent enough. However, replacing the stock pads with them was like a whole new set of good brakes. On forums where such things are discussed, there seems to be a consensus that average quality brakes with good…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Best value for money brake pads

These things are just cool! I've used Swiss Stop pads, they're fantastic, but no better than Kool Stops and significantly more expensive. I can only speak for the black and orange dual brake pads, but as a Seattle resident I can say that they are fantastic on my hilly, wet roads. The feel of the pads is great - comfortably soft, grippy engagement and progressive feel throughout the stroke. This is one of those cheap and easy (seriously, two allen keys and 10 minutes) upgrades that will have you

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Great brake pads but they wear out FAST

I would like to start this review by saying that I drive in an urban environment where I need to use my heaters a lot. I use these pads on my single speed which is my all purpose bike in the big city. These pads are good at everything, but good at nothing. While 95% of my rides are in dry weather, these pads perform best at 5% in wet conditions. These pads are probably the best rain stopper of any non-rain pad I've ever used, which is essential in a city where cell phone use while driving is…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Reliability
