I've been using these Kool-Stop MTN pads for a long time. These are easily the best rim brake pads I have ever used. If you can fit these pads on your bike, get them! Braking performance is amazing. These pads are amazing. I only have a couple of these (rear brakes only) on an old 26" mountain bike that I've tried my best to clean the rim on, but admittedly this is no longer the case and parts of the surface are far from flat or smooth (aluminum is bumped in places). First of all, I like Kool Stop brake pads the most. They brake great and fit well too. I used a lot of cool suspenders from old school blocks for these chic panty liners. I will not buy any other brake pads for my bikes because I ride year round and need something to stop me in rain, snow and other adverse conditions when most other brake pads just skip the rim.
