A simple thing that is hard to find done right.

Just what I needed. I was shocked comparing its flex and height to the old one I replaced. FYI: I tried inserting it from the end, but it was much easier to put it under the door and push the new floor "up".

Very easy to install

I am 71 years old, do housework and needed a new exterior door bottom. The door is made in Canada and I was sure I wouldn't find exactly what I needed until I searched for Revain. The bottom of the door was easy to assemble and fitted perfectly. The photo and description matched, as did the price!

  • Great for me
Cons

The door is assembled from the box

Measuring doesn't hurt. I have an 80x32 inch door with cut outs on the bottom for this gasket. Thought I might have to crop but it fits like a glove. Doesn't come with command strips or anything to help it stick to the bottom of the door (I mean that's why you have to nail or staple it). The steps are simple, remove the door, apply the gasket, put the door on and make sure it closes, remove the door, nail the gasket in place (or strong staples are preferred), place open the door again.

Pros
  • Thresholds
Cons
  • Without machine

Great replacement for the old Stanley steel door but short lived.

Also ideal replacement for old Stanley steel door. Same tread design as the original. Not as hard as the old one, but it was about 20 (?) years old, so it was very dry. I can't remember if I had to cut that one end or not, I think I did but it was barely noticeable. Fits great and seals well even after adjusting the adjustable threshold. While that sounds good, the big problem is that it took barely 9 months, mostly an autumn and a winter, before the outer weatherstrip started to come loose…

  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen

Perfect fit for Stanley door

While painting a steel clad wood door that was over 20 years old I decided to redo the trim. The old comes out easily, including a couple of protruding staples on the ends. Choosing a new door seemed difficult at first. Recording the door width was easy; In this case 32 inches. Matching the two cuts on the bottom of the door was also easy. Just measure accurately; in this case 7/8" OC or 0.875". If the profile view of a new squeegee doesn't list a distance of 0.87 or 0.88 inches, it doesn't fit
